My new linen figures have been inspired by my love of those well worn home made dolls sewn from scraps of old fabric with hand painted faces on crudely carved heads which have been passed through the hands of generations of children and survived to tell the tale. 'Life on the ocean waves' is one of my new hand printed linen figures and is filled with wadding and fragrant lavender. The figure is free standing on a wooden base and hand sewn with a linen head dress and antique button earings.
